At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Fire and Police Pension Fund held on the 19th day of September 2013, President Chris Willmore presided. The meeting was held at the Pension Office, 6009 John Douglass Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
The meeting convened at 0903 hours with board members Chris Willmore, Shawn O’Kelley, Brent Goldberg, Ray Ryan, Jerome Halbert, Mark Coffman and Craig Joel. Attorney Bill Robinson was also present. Phillip McClain joined the meeting at 1026 hours.
Motion by Brent Goldberg and seconded by Jerome Halbert to approve the minutes of the September 5, 2013 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
Vince Butler appeared before the Board and discussed the merits of the Fund establishing a presence on, and using Social Media. Maggie Hodges with FullMedia and Ryan Russell with Ryan Russell Digital Media also appeared before the Board to make proposals for establishing and monitoring a Facebook page. Motion by Shawn O’Kelley and seconded by Craig Joel to establish a Fund Facebook Page. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Ray Ryan and seconded by Brent Goldberg to hire FullMedia for a period of four months to help establish a Facebook page for the Fund. Motion carried 6-2. President Willmore name the following individuals to the Social Media committee: Chris Willmore, Craig Joel, Katrina Abbott, Frank Hamilton.
Motion by Phillip McClain and seconded by Jerome Halbert to accept the following membership changes:
