The Chattanooga Fire and Police Pension Fund ensures the current 800+ active Police Officers and Firefighters will have a secure, pre-defined monthly benefit upon retirement; with over 500 Police Officers and Firefighters currently receiving retirement benefits after they have completed their service. The Fund also provides a safeguard for the immediate family in the event the Firefighter or Police Officer becomes disabled or dies, with the Fund currently providing benefits for over 50 disabled participants and over 190 survivors.
