September 3, 2013 Election Minutes

At the special called meeting of the Fire and Police Pension Fund held on the 3rd day of September 2013, Vice President Chris Willmore presided.  The meeting was held at the Pension Office.  The purpose of the meeting was to count ballots from the annual pension election and to elect officers for the year of September 3, 2013 to September 2, 2014.

 The meeting convened at 1800 hours with board members Chris Willmore, Jerome Halbert, Shawn O’Kelley, Ray Ryan and Phillip McClain.  Attorney Bill Robinson was also present.

 The vote tally was:

Senior Firefighter Mark Coffman—140

Senior Firefighter Chad Rogers–26

Police Department

Sergeant Craig Joel—66

Sergeant Austin Garrett—65

Sergeant Kevin Akins—55

Sergeant Kenneth Hogans—22

Sergeant Charles Brown—13

Sergeant Barry Burns–9

Mark Coffman and Craig Joel took their seats on the Board.   Phillip McClain nominated Chris Willmore as Board President.  No other nominations were made.  Motion by Phillip McClain and seconded by Shawn O’Kelley to end nominations.  Motion carried.  Gavel passed to Phillip McClain for the vote. Nomination approved unanimously.

Gavel passed back to President Willmore.  Shawn O’Kelley nominated Phillip McClain as Board Secretary. No other nominations were made.  Motion by Shawn O’Kelley and seconded by Craig Joel to end nominations.  Motion carried.  Nomination approved unanimously.

Phillip McClain nominated Shawn O’Kelley as Board Vice President.  No other nominations were made.  Motion by Phillip McClain and seconded by Mark Coffman to end nominations.  Motion carried.  Nomination approved unanimously.

 Motion by Phillip McClain and seconded by Shawn O’Kelley to adjourn at 1840 hours.  Motion carried unanimously.
